Candidates announced for Islington by-elections

Eleven candidates will contest the two Islington ward by-elections on 21 March 2013.
Two vacancies have arisen following the resignation of Arthur Graves (Independent) in Junction ward, and Jessica Asato (Labour) in St George's ward.
There are 9,215 voters registered in St George's ward, and 8,996 in Junction ward.
Residents entitled to vote will be sent polling cards.
Unregistered voters must submit an application with the Electoral Registration Officer at Islington Town Hall by midnight on 6 March. The deadline for new postal vote applications and changes to proxy votes is 5pm on the same day.

Kaya Makarau-Schwartz - Labour Party
Bill Martin - Socialist Party (GB)
Patricia Jane Napier - Conservative Party

Kat Fletcher - Labour Party
Julian Gregory - Liberal Democrat Party
Jon Robert Nott - Green Party
Evan James Williams - Conservative Party
