Caught on cameraphone: the two 'laughing' Islington bike thieves

These two young men were seen in the act of stealing this bike from outside The Alwyne Castle pub on St Paul's Road, Islington, on Sunday 3rd July. Its owner, 27-year-old TV director James Jones, who uses the Twitter handle @rjamesjones has been appeling for witnesses using this photograph - taken at the scene of the crime (we believe) by the pub landlord:

According to Jones, one of the thieves then 'laughed as he cycled off'. The police were called and attended shortly afterwards, but no arrests have yet been made.
