The latest Islington Council newbuild properties had their first showing to borough housing chiefs this week.
The 6 family home scheme will provide accommodation for 29 people - including 2 five bedroomed houses to help address the chronic shortage of a large family-sized homes in Islington.
143 Seven Sisters Road is built on the site of a vacant doctor's surgery and flat at the corner of Durham Road, N4.
Overcrowded Islington residents - including those on the neighbouring Andover Estate - will receive priority in the bidding thanks to Islington Council's local lettings policy.
Cllr James Murray, Islington Council's executive member for Housing, said:
"We are desperately short of affordable family homes in Islington.
"But the new development at Seven Sisters Road provides high quality accommodation for nearly thirty people at social rent."
Among those at the 'walk through' on Monday 10 September were Cllr Barbara Sidnell, Executive Member for Communities, Islington Council and Doug Goldring, Director of Housing Operations, Islington Council.
