Islington residents being encouraged to apply for jobs at new sports centre

Residents in Islington are being invited to apply for jobs at Islington's newly refurbished Ironmonger Row Baths.
The much-loved Baths reopen this autumn with a restored main pool, new teaching pool, larger gym, fitness facilities two exercise studios, and expanded spa area.
Recruitment has begun, and a jobs fair is being run by GLL, Islington Council's leisure partner for Ironmonger Row Baths, on Friday 14 September from 10am-2pm in Finsbury Library, 245 St John Street, EC1V 4NB.
Jobs include fitness instructor, spa therapist, senior therapist, leisure assistants, customer service advisor, assistant fitness instructor and group exercise instructors.

Cllr Janet Burgess, Islington Council's executive member for health and wellbeing, said: "We're on the side of residents, and Ironmonger Row Baths is a legacy of first class leisure facilities that will serve the community for many years to come.
"There's a big range of jobs on offer and excellent opportunities for Islington residents to find work.
"Look at the GLL website now or come along to the jobs fair on Friday 14 September."
Under a site-specific agreement, staff at Ironmonger Row Baths will be paid London Living Wage in line with the fairer pay recommendation of the Islington Fairness Commission.

"We are delighted to be offering around 35 posts and are actively encouraging Islington residents to apply.
"While some of the roles require qualifications and experience, there are also opportunities for those looking to enter the leisure industry for the first time and where training will be provided.
"We have a range of permanent and casual positions on offer, so there really are opportunities for everyone, whether you'd like to work full time, or on a part-time basis."
