A man banned from Islington's Andover Estate has been jailed for 28 days after returning to the area.
Anthony Ahmet, 22, of St Albans, was one of several people banned from the estate under injunctions in April, as part of action to address anti-social behaviour.
But on Monday October 15 Islington Police arrested Mr Ahmet after he was seen back on the Andover Estate. He was taken to Clerkenwell and Shoreditch County Court in Gee Street the next day, and ordered to serve 28 days for breaching the injunction.
Cllr Paul Convery, Islington Council's executive member for community safety, said: "We're on the side of residents, who want less crime and anti-social behaviour in Islington, and I'm very pleased the judge took this so seriously.
"We'll take decisive action to stop anti-social behaviour - and as this case shows, if people still don't get the message, they face being locked up."
