£25,000 is up for grabs in a special promotion to Islington residents who pay their council tax by Direct Debit - but they must register before 5pm on 12 July 2013.
Islington Council is one of 17 London boroughs to sign up for the scheme. Residents' names go into a Londonwide draw on 18 July 2013.
Mike Curtis, Islington Council's corporate director of finance said: "When residents switch to Direct Debit to pay their council tax they get peace of mind and we save money on bank charges which can be spent on providing services instead.
"For your chance to win the £25,000 prize draw, make sure you register for Direct Debit payments by 12 July."
Details of the Direct Debit prize draw promotion are going out with council tax mailings this week.
To pay your council tax by Direct Debit and to enter the prize draw, call 020 7527 2633. Alternatively go to:www.islington.gov.uk/directdebit
Residents who already pay their council tax bill by Direct Debit will be automatically entered into the prize draw.
Busy residents can dispense with letters or phone calls to the council by going online to manage their bills and request council services through my eAccount and eBilling.
