What are the best take-aways in Islington?

Monday bevening is a bit of a lazy time for many of us, and if it's been a particularly good weekend, cooking a large meal is not high on the agenda. Many of us are turning to the take-away for our evening meal, and Islington is liberally stuffed with choice. Read on for a few local suggestions from a cooker-shy resident...

There is posh pizza a-plenty in Islington...
Italian
Firezza is the jewel in Islington's crown of take-away pizza: it sells pizza by the yard (literally) and boasts such famous fans as model Lily Cole who inspired its 'Skinny' pizza (basically a normal pizza with all the food taken off - but still somehow tasty!)
Alternatively, you might want to try Venezia on Stroud Green Road, which delivers to Islington addresses and has a similar approach to authentic, wood-fired pizza. Or if you're especially hung-over, there's always Pizza Hut...
Indian
The majority of Islington's Indian restaurants also deliver, so there's plenty of choice if you fancy something a bit spicy. Parveen on Theberton Street is a great choice and a little different from most take-away curry you'll get elsewhere: the contemporary menu offers some surprising dishes and great value for money.
There is also the Angel Curry Centre on Chapel Market with its popular delivery servce and of course, The Tiffin Tin, a real North London legend of take-away curry, offering freshly prepared delights on the back of a bike.
Other Cuisines
One of the best Thai restaurants I've visited in London is the unassuming Thai Corner Cafe in Highbury. I was delighted to discover that the restaurant also delivers, and offers a very quick service. The food tastes as fresh as it does in the shop, and is a must-try for lovers of Thai food. In fact, I didn't even think I liked Thai food since I tried this place!
Comments
Cafe La Divina on Upper Street - awesome pizza and a lot cheaper than all of the rest! Not everyone knows they do take-away so thought it was worth a mention here.
