The Breakfast Club is not just for breakfast...

Going on (a) its name, (b) the length of the queue any time between 9am and noon and (c) the splendid fry ups on offer for veggies and meat-eaters alike, you'd be mistaken for thinking that The Breakfast Club only specialised in breakfasts. But I've found that this fab venue is equally great for a night out, too, with plenty of beers, wines and cocktails to keep you going. You can come back the next day to deal with the hangover...

    Shake time!!!

i'm not sure how big a chain breakfast club is, but I think they only have two branches - this one and the one in Shoreditch. Of the two, this one is much nicer as it's tucked down Camden Passage and has a slight feeling of being a secret den for uber cool, skinny jean toting students, and then us mere mortals who wear glasses because our eyes genuinely don't work. Anyway, the staff are really friendly here and you get a nice sense of community with a noticeboard of photos and messages people have stuck on. But it's all about the milkshakes baby! I had some food in the shoreditch one and it was nothing to write home about, but those drinks are simply scrummers! The hot chocolate is good too. All of it has the sense of not taking itself too seriously, which is nice, as I'm not a serious kinda gal.

    The perfect fry-up...

Ohh I love a good fry-up (especially after a heavy night) and the Breakfast Club is Islington's answer for the perfect one. The queue can be a long wait but dont let that put you off. Once youre in, its well worth the wait. Booking is probably advisable because we recently came here and it was packed. Weekends and weekdays are always busy so i guess that just goes to show how popular this place is!
