The incident happened on the evening of Sunday 20 Feb in Lofting Road off Liverpool Road. It is believed that the gang had specifically targeted their victim - a 28 year-old pizza delivery driver - as they pulled at one end of the rope in order to tighten it as he drove past. They were then seen laughing and running away from the scene.
Police are looking for a gang of white teenaged boys who were seen in the area at the time of the incident.
Did you see anything? If so, witnesses are urged to call Islington CID on 0207 421 0150 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
