Centre 404 for People with Learning Disabilities and Their Families Celebrate 60 Years!

As part of celebrating 60 years of Centre 404, we have put together a special winter newsletter issue commemorating some of our key moments in the past and highlighting some of our memorable achievements and special events this year. We also give you a first look at how our building work is coming along!

After our big relocation to new offices on Holloway road, the builders started work on 19th September on what will be a new and improved space for all our members.Amy Curtis, our Resources Manager, has been visiting the site every week to see how it's all going. Already, the space is being transformed as the builders strip out rooms in the basement, uncover hidden windows and fireplaces, make space for the new lift and demolish walls to open up the space! The diggers are in the garden building new foundations for the new Garden Room Extension. And we now have a built in place for two sheds, one for tools and the other for the clubs' games and activities.

We're so excited to see what Centre 404 will look like next year. We're also really thankful to everyone who helped us raise money for this project. Even though we have been successful in gathering the funds to start this work, we are still looking at how to fundraise for phase three of the project. If you have any ideas about how you'd like to help us fundraise or if you would like to volunteer, please get in touch with Carla on 020 7697 4057 or email: carlag@centre404.org.uk.
