Do you use your green 'food waste' bin? The council is keen to get as many Islington residents composting as possible, avoiding the need to send tons of food waste to landfill, and providing much-needed compost for the borough's green spaces. So be honest: are you doing your bit, or is you kitchen caddy currently feeling left out? I've made a resolution to stick with the food recycling this year, and am surprised at how many things can be turned into compost...

I love my green bin! It's happy to eat most types of leftovers (including meat) which means more space left in the general kitchen bin and fewer trips to the front garden for me. Also I love the idea that the compost is being used to make the area nice and green. Can't understand why anyone wouldn't want to use one.
