Black History Month: Black people at the Old Bailey - Islington Archaeology & History Society

October is Black History Month in the UK; an opportunity to celebrate and raise awareness of Black cultural heritage, history and experiences today. The theme for Islington this year is Educate and Innovate!

What: Black people at the Old Bailey - Islington Archaeology & History Society event.
Kathleen Chater will be talking about black people in the Islington/Clerkenwell area, concentrating on Old Bailey records. Ms Chater is the author of Untold Histories: Black people in England and Wales During the Period of the British Slave Trade published by Manchester University Press.
