Two-day free, youth-focused Mental Health Initial Response training.
The course is aimed at anyone interested in the mental health of young people (aged 11-18), including parents, teachers, foster parents, youth workers, and anyone who may come across young people with mental health problems.
Our next course takes place on Tuesday 26th and Wednesday 27th March at Voluntary Action Islington (200a Pentonville Road, London N1 9JP). The course runs from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on both days.
Mental Health Initial Response training takes place throughout the year at venues around Islington. It is free for anyone who lives, studies, works or volunteers in Islington. The courses are run by the national charity Rethink Mental Illness in partnership with NHS Islington.
The course equips you with practical skills and background knowledge to assist young people experiencing emotional distress or mental illness. All participants receive a certificate and course materials.
