Can you see the Big Rock Candy Fountain where you are?

We're all beginning to feel the effects of darker evenings now the clocks have gone back, but if you're anywhere near the North end of the borough there's a big reason to be cheerful: 30,000 reasons to be precise! That's the number of flashing lights on the new Big Rock Candy Fountain now installed at Archway, and we've got some lovely pics of the fountain in all its glory. Check out a few images of the Fountain here!

The fountain gets going every evening at dusk (that's around 4pm now, of course!) and keeps on flowing till midnight, creating a very pleasant illuminated landmark for any stray Islingtonians out on the town - as well as a very eye-catching 'welcome to Islington' to anyone passing through.

Have you been up to Archway to see the Fountain for yourself, or are you getting a good view from home? Please share your thoughts (and your photographs) if so!

Interesting. I certainly think it's a very positive addition to the area and would be sad to see it go!
