If you're a runner (or keen on giving it a go), you'll be able to enter a 1k run around Highbury Fields or a 3k run from Highbury Fields
to Arsenal Emirates Stadium and back. All runners receive a medal and a
goody bag.
If you like to get about on bike, you can go on a cycle tour around Islington – learn safe cycling routes and
fascinating facts about Islington. There'll be help and advice on hand from the people at Micycle, the Islington cycle safety and training shop.
For those into dancing, you can join in with Islington's T' Mobile Big Dance event with open air
performances by professional and community groups, take part in the Big
Dance Ceilidh or the Schools pledge, or learn the Big World Dance
routine. There is something for everyone so get up and have a go.
Groups include Cando2, the Company of
Elders, the Central School of Ballet, All Change, Classes and Courses
from the Place, The Place Centre for Advanced Training, Breakin
Convention, the Islington Youth Dance Company, Studio Youth, Grafton
school, Havok, Interlude, SC Warriors and Rouge.
So if you're feeling bad about sitting at the computer and wasting a sunny Sunday, why not get out there before the end of the day and improve your fitness?
