Why I like Islington
It has everything I need in an area - great coffee shops, bars, restaurants, food shops (especially the Fromagerie, the butchers and the greengrocers in Highbury Barn. There is Highbury Fields - I go running there but it is just as lovely to walk through. There is a nice sense of community in Islington. Residents seem to share a desire to look after the area and there is a lot of interactivity with the council - petitions seem to work.
Why I don't like Islington
I think the bottom half of upper street near Angel has become a bit unpleasant at night - and there isn't a fishmonger's in Highbury Barn - apart from that there is nothing else I don't like (except maybe that not all of my friends live here - I've tried to persuade them that it is better than Shepherd's Bush or Mile End but they won't have it.)
