Highly recommended

Very nice pub restaurant off the beaten track on a back road between Upper Street and Liverpool Road. It's very quaint from the outside and doesn't lose this on the inside either, which real fires, lots of little rooms with dark wood and jazz music playing. The drinks are well priced, the crowd is mature and not a party one, which isn't always great (I went there on Saturday and quickly got restless, but that's my own fault), but generally it's refreshing to find somewhere like this. The staff are good, and the food looks delicious although I'm yet to try it. Lovely, old English style place to relax over a nice glass of white wine.

    Great pub great grub

Have eaten here on numerous occasions through the years. It has always been good but it seems to be getting better. The beer garden is a delight in summer and the cosy fires in winter.

The food at the moment is fantastic. Need to get better real ales in though.
