As laid back as pub as you'll ever see, very nice and full of choice. As an ale lover, this place has everything and is superb in the content and variety of ales. They have a big screen in the back seating area for sports events (mainly football and cricket) which is nice for a little get together to support your local team. Good food too.

The Duke of Wellington fast became my favourite local pub very quickly. The choice of ales is fantastic as is the food menu .Perfect pub food and quick service too.
Such a nice place to sit in on either a really cold wintery sunday or a hot summers day outside. Quite a reasonably priced venue which adds to its charm.
a definite place to be visited on more than one occasion.

The Duke of Wellington has a great pedigree as the best real ale pub anywhere near Dalston. They have at least 4 on hand-pull at all times, as well as two excellent regular ale festivals, showcasing some of the best ales from the local area as well as some nice ciders too. Nice food too, although oddly priced (steak £3 more than a burger? Yes please!)
