Sunday evening, hmmm what to do?? Ah yes, the great invention of private karaoke rooms where you can croon to your heart''s content and only make a fool of yourself in front of your mates! Having been invited to a 2 hour session last night by some lovely friends we didn''t mess around getting down to the serious business of choosing plenty of cheesy songs and having a sing. Lucky Voice has a wide selection from Johnny Cash to the Lion King via Flight of the Conchords which made for much giggling and a great evening out. My only complaint would be the length of time taken for the bar to respond to our Thirsty button. Drinks are an average price for Islington at £4 for a large bottle of Savannah cider - as it was Sunday we played it safe and avoided the cocktails. This place makes a great night out just as the Bloomsbury Lanes does with it''s private karaoke & bowling combos. Go there, drink plenty, sing like there''s no one listening, it''s the only way!

Everyone loves Lucky Voice. Even people who think they hate it just haven't found out that actually, they love it. There is something ridiculously therapeutic about singing at the top of your voice with your friends, replete in bright pink wigs, holding inflatable guitars and pushing the "more drinks please" buzzer. This Lucky Voice is almost criminal amounts of fun. It works as a regular bar out front too, however, all the important stuff is out the back. They have got a list of their own cocktails which are unfortunately rather hit and miss - some can be terribly sweet so verge towards the sours. During happy hour they are 2 for 1 though, so, all's forgotten pretty quickly ;)

ReportThis is such an awesome venue for the LV chain. Being so close to home makes it so convenient, and I'm far more likely to drop in here for a bit of crooning than going into town.
The bar is massive too, making it a great draw even if you have party-pooper friends who won't sing!

My best friend wanted a cool but fabulously fun party and this was spot on. Drinks flowing and the huge song selection kept everyone happy. We rapped through Salt n Peppa, crooned Spandau's Gold and went all Bridget Jones over All by Myself! An ace night out.
