Very impressive, for a chain

I'm not normally a chain kind of a girl, to be honest, but I was impressed with ASK and it's one of the few to which I would return although I'm still more inclined to go to the independents in somewhere like Angel. Anyway, the service was fantastic - we were in a fair sized group of young people, one of whom was cringe worthily drunk, and yet they handled him very well and weren't snooty about it all. The waitress was charming (I think my brother fell in love, in fact), and the service was fast and efficient. The food was lovely, nice salads and good quality meat and fish. The desserts were my favourite part, and the coffee was also good, apparently, though I don't drink it myself. ASK is put back from the road next to the business design centre so it's a good place to avoid the gaggles of drunken party people stumbling up Upper Street on the weekends.
