    Islington primary schools achieved their best ever English and maths results for tests taken by 11 year-olds in 2012. The validated national Key Stage 2 results - published on Thursday by the Department for Education - show that 80 per cent of Year 6 Islington pupils gained a Level 4 or higher in both English and maths.     Students at Islington Sixth Form Consortium (IC6) have achieved a 99 per cent pass rate in their A-level results for the third year running.  Some 67 per cent of exam entries were A*-C grades, while 41 per cent were A*-B grades.
