Snow in London this week?

Talk of snowfall in distant parts of the country doesn't generally register on the average Londoners radar, but news that the white stuff could be coming to the capital is big news - especially when it falls during the festive season, which now seems to be upon us.

Last time Islington froze, I was very happy frolicking around Highbury Fields, skating round the Emirates and building snowmen in the streets...for all of about 24 hours. And then the reality of getting to work set in.
So if reports of a snowfall this week are to be believed, it looks like we're going to need to wrap up warm and crack out the mulled wine early. Be prepared for boiler problems too, as the national thermastat goes skyward - there are some tips here on who to call out locally if the worst happens and your heating packs up during a freeze.
